Bicycle Tubes Keep Popping
About eight hours later i hear a loud burst and realize the tube has popped.
Bicycle tubes keep popping. Less common reasons more in the realm of theoretically possible. Assume it s a tube problem tube is professionally replaced at a reputable shop this was yesterday ride it for about 20 mins no problem. There s a significant difference between a tube popping with a loud sound and a tube just going flat. Tube too large or small for the tire causing a stress riser in the valve tube joint under pressure.
I take it in it s replaced i hang my bike of my wall then go to work. It s possible that you keep getting punctures from new sharp things poking through the tire but that s unlikely. I keep getting flat tire after flat tire and i can t really figure out why. Also check to make sure you ve got the tire and tube itself seated correctly.
I put the bike back on my indoor hanging rack. My inner tubes keep splitting near the valve. You need to be more careful on road bikes due to the much smaller tube tire wheel sizes otherwise you risk getting pinch punctures where the rim and tire compress the tube so it pops when under pressure. Tubes last more or less indefinitely but they do age out sometime and the area around the valve is a likely spot since it s less supple and flexible.
A loud pop indicates that the tube was able to escape the confines of the tire or the rim almost always because of installation errror or less common because of a substandard rim strip on a rim with spoke nipple access holes.
