Bike Valve Cover Gasket

Maybe it s not correct there is building a pressure which is blowing off the valve cover gasket. On my bike the valve cover gasket isn t rubber it s some kind of paper combined with some other substance probably. I don t think that he is right. Was able to fire up and ride home too. Started to leak to it to a local shop not bmw they said the the valve cover is bad.

Of course stopping the bike at every intersection because it started idling at 4k and the oil leaks from the valve cover. The valve cover gasket is the one that fails. The bike has 76k miles. Anyway some previous owner appears to have not bothered to remove the old gasket or even get a new replacement and just used rtv instead.
